Yogi Mir's response:
Dear Sharique,
I am sorry to hear about your condition.
Here is what I recommend.
1. Check in with an Ayurvedic doctor in your area. Ayurveda offers some effective treatments (including Marma therapy and dietary recommendations) for the eyes and to reduce inflammation (Pitta accumulation) in the eye region.
2. Netra Vyayamam, or Eye exercises from yoga. There are some basic exercises, and there are some very advanced techniques. Please look into Meir Schneider's work on this subject: http://youtu.be/96hNrcUfwAk
3. And finally, chronic Uveitis has been linked to the presence of a specific bacteria in your digestive system: Helicobacter pylori. A simple blood test can reveal if Helicobacter is present. The treatment for this infection is a two-week course of combination antibiotics, one of the only proven ways to eradicate this specific bacterium. After Helicobacter is eradicated, Uveitis is completely resolved within weeks. This option should not be ruled out.
I wish you all the best in your healing. Please let me know if you have already tried these therapies and if it worked or didn't.
Namaste,
~ Yogi Mir
