Hi!
I love the posts in your website. It's helped me immensely. I've been having chronic headache and I am quite regular at Nadi Shuddhi. However when I tried just the left nostril breathing, my headache disappeared.
So I just need to know, if I do only left nostril breathing or do left nostril breathing for some time and then continue with nadi shuddi? Or stop nadi shuddhi for a while. What do you suggest?
Thanks so much for your wonderful effort in compiling such useful information.
Regards

Dear Vidya,
Thank you for the words of encouragement.
Left nostril breathing induces the relaxation response in the body, and can therefore reduce a headache.
My suggestion would be to practice Left Nostril Breath if and when you have a headache, and continue with Nadi Suddhi when no headache is present. Let yourself feel the air current entering the nostrils and "hitting" the upper palate of your nasal cavities on each left and right sides to "activate" the respective sides of the brain.
Let me know if you have any further questions about the nuances of this practice. Namaste!
